
Before co-founding Awegmented, Anthony Arrigo spent eighteen years in higher education, reaching tenured professor of Communication. In that time, he received hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant awards and worked as PI and Co-PI on locally and nationally funded initiatives with scholars from around the country and from numerous disciplines. He also served as Associate Director for the Community Research and Partnership Initiative, improving ties between scholars on campus and nonprofit organizations throughout the Northeast region. He is a multi-award-winning educator, having taught courses in Theories of Visual Communication, Technical and Professional Writing, Business Communication, Document Design, Grant Writing, Communicating in the Sciences, and Speech Communications, among others. He received a Ph.D. in Scientific and Technical Communication, from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, an M.A. in Rhetoric and English from Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.S. in Organizational Behavior, with a Minor in Computer Systems Management from Duquesne University. He is also the author of the book Imaging Hoover Dam: The Making of a Cultural Icon, published through the University of Nevada Press.

Cathy Lund opened City Kitty Veterinary Care for Cats, the first cat practice in Rhode Island, more than 20 years ago. She served as the delegate for state of RI in the American Veterinary Medical Association, and promotes animal welfare in her position as a director for the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She is a frequent speaker and consultant to veterinary practices. Dr. Lund was awarded the 2007 AVMA Meritorious Service Award for her work as board president and founder of the Companion Animal Foundation, a statewide, veterinary-based nonprofit organization that helps low-income pet owners afford essential veterinary care. She was veterinarian of the year in RI in 2010. She currently serves on several architectural and preservation commissions in the city of Providence.

Michael Arrigo has over 20 years of operations experience in several different sectors including the auto and defense industries, robotics, and tech startups. He has held leadership positions in quality, engineering, manufacturing, project management, and business process design. His passions are bringing new software and hardware-integrated products to life and creating cultures that leverage processes and procedures to generate operational consistency. He brings order to the chaos of startup life. He has a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Point Park University.

With years of experience in Mathematics and Computer Programming, yet only a single paragraph worth of writing in the third person, Matthew Cormier enjoys the iterative nature of problem solving. He has a B.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics and is currently working on finishing his doctorate in Mathematics, with a focus on Machine Learning methods for Time Marching Partial Differential Equations, at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. While only speaking one language linguistically, he can speak many computationally. From HTML to C++, Matlab to Mathematica and Python to C# (C Sharp), not even x64 Assembly can hide from his passion. Matthew has worked on projects in Unreal Engine, Unity, Android and has developed his own game engine under the Win32 platform for Microsoft Windows.

In addition to being Head of Design at Awegmented, Scott Ahrens is also a Professor of Art + Design at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. His professional work and teaching include User Interface and Experience Design (UI/UX), Game Arts, and Graphic Design. His career has included positions at both academic institutions and award-winning commercial design studios. His most recent projects explore the use of spatial computing technology to create interactive educational experiences. He has a BFA in Sculpture and Graphic Design from California State University, Chico and an MFA from RISD in Graphic Design.
